Exmouth is a small coastal community situated in the remote North West of Western Australia. Located about 1300km north of the capital city Perth, about 850km north of the large regional city of Geraldton and 600km South West of the centre of the Pilbara's mining operations, Karratha. Exmouth is an exciting town with a population of approximately 2700 that swells to over 6000 during the tourist season. We are surrounded by Cape Range National Park and pastoral regions, as well as the World Heritage Ningaloo Reef Marine Park, home of world's largest fish, the whale shark.

EDHS opened in February 1965, in temporary quarters, with a total of 29 students. This was a small beginning, but the future growth and development of the school was assured by the establishment of the Harold E Holt US Naval Communication Station on North West Cape in 1967. An agreement between the governments of Western Australia and the United States of America ensured that the educational needs of both nationalities were met.

We would like to welcome you to the EDHS website, please don't hesitate to contact us for further information.
