Compass at Exmouth District High School
Compass is the Western Australian Department of Education’s online school management system, being introduced in all WA public schools as part of the Kaartdijin program.
Compass brings together important student attendance and school information in one secure place for parents and carers. Information displayed in Compass is sourced from the school’s existing records, including details provided during enrolment. To help keep records accurate, families are encouraged to notify the school of any changes to contact or student information.
Exmouth District High School is currently using Compass for a range of school services, with additional features being introduced as the Department’s statewide rollout continues. As new functions become available, families will be advised by the school.
What is Compass?
Compass is a secure online portal that provides parents and carers with easy access to important school and student information. Through Compass, families can stay connected and informed about their child’s education.
Compass Features Available at Exmouth DHS

Attendance
- View your child’s attendance record
- Submit explanations for absences or lateness
- Receive attendance-related notifications
Events
- View upcoming school excursions, activities and events
- Access event information and notices
Consent
- Provide online consent for excursions and school activities
Please note: Online payments through Compass are not currently enabled at Exmouth District High School. Payments should be made via Direct Deposit, EFTPOS or Cash through the school office.
Academic Reports
- View and download your child’s academic reports as they become available
Parent-Teacher Conferences
- Book parent-teacher interview appointments during scheduled conference periods
Student Profile
- View student details, timetable information and other school records available through Compass
Communication
- Receive communications from the school via SMS and Email
- Communicate directly with your child’s teachers through Compass
Accessing Compass
Compass can be accessed from any modern web browser or through the Compass School Manager app, available for both iOS and Android devices.
To access Compass:
- Select the Compass link available on the Exmouth District High School website.
- Alternatively, visit Schools.Compass.Education and search for Exmouth District High School.
