Bush Ranger Cadets

Bush Rangers WA is a youth-based conservation and community development program. It supports young Western Australians to take an active role in the conservation of the natural environment and better understand the mechanisms for its management.

The Exmouth Bush Ranger Cadet unit offers our Exmouth students in Years 8-12 the opportunity to undertake personal development training while developing their conservation skills and knowledge of our World Heritage listed local environment. Sessions run every second Wednesday straight after school.

Activities include;

  • Bush Craft and survival
  • First aid and CPR
  • Snorkelling
  • Kayaking
  • Navigation
  • Conservation activities such as weeding and revegetation projects
  • Team building and leadership
  • Bird and reef watch surveys
  • Beach clean ups
  • DBCA run sessions
  • Information sessions with local Exmouth Conservation groups
